Welcome to the 6th Stage of History…. LAH!

Hey guys, it has certainly been awhile!

We haven’t really been doing much except the Friday Nights at Bugis but now, Soul Calibur V is on the horizon!
SoulSingapore is brushing dust off our shoulders and getting ready to charge straight into yet another new stage of history and we’re looking to change the way we communicate with the local fans of the game.

FACEBOOK!

“Like” us on Facebook! Pretty please? We know most people don’t really like blog hopping (and when the game hits I’ll be a bit busy to be doing full blog posts heeheehee) so we set up a page for you to “Like” and be instantly updated on all our latest antics!

8wayrun!

8wayrun has been going strong since the launch of Soul Calibur VI and the international community there is hyped up for the new game too! Hit our matchmaking thread in the link above to join in on our discussions, or surf around the site for information and strategies for the game.

Round1.SG

If you’re a fan of Soul Calibur, there’s a high chance you’re a fan of other fighting games too!
Round1.SG is a fighting game website dedicated to the local fighting game fans regardless of the game. Do check them out if you are looking for a challenge anywhere in the genre.

Pre-Cannes Console Session!

Hey guys,

As some of you may or may not yet know, Soul Singapore will have 5 representatives at the upcoming World Game Cup 2010 in CANNES, FRANCE! (www.worldgamecup.com)

We will be departing on that trip on the 2nd of March, but before that we’d like to have a console session on the 20th or 27th of February.

Location is most likely at The Hangout (www.thehangout.com.sg) and time will be from 2pm-6pm.. (might be extended)

I’ll be making calls to try and get some good rates, but to be safe you might want to take it that you’ll be spending $11.50 there.

Please leave a comment here (I’ll prefer if everyone replies here as it doesn’t need registration and will be easier to track..) to vote for whether you prefer the 20th or the 27th, or if you’re available for both.

Things of note to Soul Singapore:
Date: 3rd March 2010 (Wed) to 7th March 2010 (Sun)
Location: Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France
Events:
6th March 2010 – Soulcalibur IV (5v5)
7th March 2010 – Soulcalibur IV (Solo)
7th March 2010 – Soulcalibur IV (World Team Cup) *Only National teams can attend.

———————————————————————————
Here’s a PM Malek (French representative) sent me:

It is just an announce for now, so players can begin to organize in order to come.

One more thing very important:
– Soulcalibur IV (World Team Cup) – Sunday Marth 7th 2010. (Only National teams can attend).

What is a national team:
A team of 5 to 8 players who will represent their country.
5 players will play, but 3 can be there to replace if necessary.
At the beginning of each match, each captain must decide the order of the 5 players.
Then it’s a classical 5 vs 5.

In France, One player has been chosed to be the manager.
He can’t play but he is the coach and the one who decides who will be in the team. Just like football player ah ah
Noone is forced to use the same system, all we need is a team of 5 to 8 people from the same country at the end in order to enter the competition.

So:
Do Singapoor will have a national team for this event ?
Who can be the “link” between Singapoor team and French organizer ?

For now, I just want to know if Singapoor are interrested or not.
Member of the team, later.

I will post on the 8wayrun forum soon to.
Can you give me a link for Singapoor International Forum so I can post there too ?

THX

Ps:
We planned to make one WORLD team for people who came from a country where there is not enough player. Exemple: Belial from Russia, Omega from DominicanRepublic, etc…

——————————————————————————-
That said, do post up and voice out your opinions.
I would like to give him an answer asap.

Soul Calibur BROKEN DESTINY!!!!

Soul SG > Guest Characters :)

Soul SG > Guest Characters 🙂

The game hit our shores some time on Friday/Saturday and I’ve gotten my smelly paws on it!

So far Dampierre and Kratos are looking like awesome additions to the cast.. Kratos, unfitting as he may be, is a sight to behold.. and Dampierre… is challenging Voldo for the title of best…. whatever qualities we love Voldo for.. (He dances! He screeches! He wobbles on the floor! He dances! He seems homosexual! And most importantly.. he DANCES! and we’re talking about Dampierre here.. *hint*)

Kilik remains fairly unchanged for the bit that I mashed with him.. Asura has been nerfed.. that doesn’t stop me from doing what I do best though. ^^

Will probably bring the game along for the next session for everyone to take a look.. I know all of you pirates are waiting for the new CFW before you play the game.. PIRATES!! PIRATES!!!! AY GEE DEE ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! (C WHUT I DID THAR?)

August 22nd Console Session!

There will be a console session at CK’s place on August the 22nd Saturday.

Starting around 6pm-ish and ending close to midnight.

Its been a 2 month break since our last gathering, so I hope to see lots of people! with much love spread around etc.etc.

If you’re not sure on how to get to CK’s place. Feel free to drop  us a question here and I’ll get back to you ASAP. Alternatively if you know one of the “usual suspects” (myself, Jovian, Hiromaxi, Farp etc.etc.) feel free to contact us and meet us at the nearest MRT or something (which, for the record, would be Hougang MRT).
